What a sweet performance! The creator of the show has worked to develop a wonderful storytelling program with the preschools I work with in Brooklyn and she has developed a similarly lovely performance to introduce the youngest of children to theater. There is little dialogue, a lot of music, dramatic facial and body expressions and an opportunity for the children in the audience to touch the (puppet) farm animals.
It’s a well-done performance that was enjoyable to watch as an adult which isn’t always the case.
Hatched is playing a few more dates at the Alvin Ailey theater in Manhattan. Check out the website for more info about dates and tickets. They welcome individuals, groups and schools with children infants-6 years old.
Look at these pictures and I know you’ll take your own kids (so cute!)
